Form Meets Fidelity

Austen Morris × Lenard Audio

A collaboration in sound and design.

Introducing the Maestro, a fully active, three-way loudspeaker developed by Austen Morris Furniture and Lenard Audio.

Combining six decades of acoustic engineering with our approach to furniture design, the Maestro brings exceptional sound into a considered residential form.

The Maestro

Based on Lenard's acclaimed Master loudspeaker, the Maestro brings much of the same acoustic architecture into a scaled design.

The three-way system combines a ribbon tweeter, a 2-inch compression driver coupled to a 12.5-inch exponential horn and a 15-inch woofer housed in a sealed enclosure.

Each driver has its own dedicated amplification, managed through integrated digital signal processing (DSP), creating a complete, fully powered system without the need for external amplifiers or crossovers.

A Shared Pursuit

Founded by John Lenard Burnett in Australia, Lenard Audio brings more than 60 years of experience in professional audio and loudspeaker engineering. From large-scale sound reinforcement systems to high-performance home loudspeakers, Lenard is known for its uncompromising approach to sound reproduction, with an emphasis on horn-loaded designs, active amplification and precise acoustic control.

John's philosophy has always centered on reproducing music as faithfully as possible. Decades of experimentation and refinement have resulted in systems that prioritize dynamics, clarity and the natural character of live sound.

Our collaboration began with a shared interest in bringing that engineering into a more refined, residential form. Working closely with the Lenard team, we designed the Maestro's cabinetry around its acoustic architecture, balancing the technical demands of a serious high-fidelity system with the proportions, materials and details of finely crafted furniture.

Made to order

Each pair of Maestro loudspeakers is built to order, with cabinetry handcrafted by Austen Morris.

Clients can select from a range of hardwood veneers, horn colors and base configurations, allowing each pair to be tailored to its surroundings.

Produced in limited quantities, the Maestro brings together precision acoustic engineering and the individuality of custom furniture.
